Awana at CMBC
For more than 60 years, Awana has been a leader in children's ministry, helping church and parents worldwide raise children and youth to know, love and serve Christ. Awana is an acronym for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed (2 Timothy 2:15). Each Awana night is filled with energy, fellowship and spiritual growth. The evening is packed with games, Scripture memory, singing, and a Bible message.
At CBMC, Awana is held on Wednesday evenings throughout the school year from 6:45-8:15 pm. See below for a description of the four age-group clubs and for the special events calendar.

Memorization Resources for Awana
Below is a list of tools to aid your children in Bible memory! Contact us if you have a helpful resource to add to this list.
- BookWalks “walk” you through your child’s Sparks or T&T handbook, section by section, to help YOU help your child. Sometimes the BookWalk suggests ways to explain the verse to your child, or it might give you simple hints for helping your child memorize, or it might suggest activities to do with your child related to the handbook section. This is a free tool. For Sparks BookWalks, click here. For T&T BookWalks, click here.
- Online Pacing Tool: Use this free tool to build a customizable calendar that lets you know how many sections your child should say each week to finish their book in one year. Just enter the child's book, the start and end date of club, and what day of the week our club meets and the tool will create a calendar for you!
- Memorization Tips: This short article gives several great tips for helping your children learn their memory verses.
- Bible Memory CDs: These CDs put verses to song so that your child can learn verses more easily through catchy tunes. There are CDs available for each of the Cubbies books, each of the Sparks books, and for the first two T&T books. The CDs cost $10 each and contain all of the memory verses from one of the handbooks set to music. To order a CD, contact us.
- Parent Handbooks: Awana also offers parent handbooks that allow you to study the same lessons your children are learning in Awana. The books give you insights and ideas for teaching these Bible truths to your children. To see the Parent handbooks, click here. The Parent Handbooks cost $9 each. To order one, contact us.
